What is the difference between illegal fgm and drugging and mutilation of female children who identify as trans?
What is the difference between illegal breast ironing and encouraging/ supporting breast binding in schools.
I have just listened to a really good discussion on fgm on BBC, but cannot understand the acceptance of the above.

It is blindingly obvious. But between racism, and the fact that the T cleverly attatched themselves to the LGB , you cant object without appearing homophobic.

Trans activism is inherently racist.

UNICEF and other charities campaign for separate toilets in other countries so girls can access school and not be murdered and raped.

But white men are all so virtuous they can pee next to little girls....

Oh they can see it, they just don't care enough to speak up. On the whole Humans are cowardly.

They'll also argue that puberty blockers and breast binders are coming from the child's own desires whereas FGM and breast ironing are imposed. Yet if a girl was to say she wanted FGM so she could be just like her friends and not be "dirty" like intact girls, we wouldn't just accept that as her own authentic desire, we would see how her culture and family had placed that idea in her. Yet we somehow refuse to see how our own cultural pressures have led to an epidemic of girls who don't want to be female any more.

People generally project bad motives onto the 'other' and good motives onto 'us' even when the outcome is exactly the same. This is seen commonly in politics but also in how cultural norms are judged.

Agree with Sarah except I might term it cultural superiority rather than racial.

There is a difference in surface motivation. FGM is about controlling (destroying) women's sexuality. Trans is about validating AGP males with a fetish. And male children are also being mutilated.

In terms of outcome I agree OP there is no difference. All fucking horrible: both are about mutilating people to further male sexual agendas.
