I'm not quite ready for the AHF version, but I'd love something that nails my (ideally suffragette) colours to the mast. Has anyone found anything?

That is a brilliant idea. I'd buy one.

BadgertheBodger · 21/09/2019 23:32

Here we are

Design your own and no minimum order Grin

teawamutu · 22/09/2019 10:30

Actually you got me thinking, and I found this: www.zazzle.co.uk/suffragette_deeds_not_words_grosgrain_ribbon-256064122334707774?design.areas=%5bzazzle_ribbon_15_front%5d&context=114924006379666789

I'm going to try to make my own.

I'm interested too. As the ADF one I was wearing has been deemed transphobic.
Saw this but expensive.

What isn't transphobic what can I say on a lanyard or badge?

smemorata · 12/10/2019 11:24

Sorry but what are AHF and ADF? Thanks!

aliasundercover · 12/10/2019 11:40

AHF is ‘Adult Human Female‘, ie a woman. ADF is, I think, mistyping (which is not the same as misgendering).

smemorata · 12/10/2019 11:48

Ah ok! Thanks.

Orangepearl · 12/10/2019 11:49

We should all wear one.

FemaleAndLearning · 12/10/2019 12:12

Sorry typo should be AHF - adult human female.

XenoBio · 12/10/2019 14:54

I do wonder, if we are banned from having the dictionary definition of woman on our apparel, perhaps we should sport other random definitions instead. . .

RevealTheLegend · 12/10/2019 14:56

Posted too soon..

Then if questioned we can truthfully to be protesting the assault on free speech where even the dictionary definition of a word is prohibited.

Ps teawamutu love the nn. Are you a Kiwi, or a Crowded House fan?

TheClitterati · 12/10/2019 15:51

I've been to Teawamutu!

TheClitterati · 12/10/2019 16:19

I've been to Te Awamutu I should say.

FemaleAndLearning · 12/10/2019 16:51

Xenobio
That is a great idea, as it will still spark a conversation about definitions.

But ultimately it should be allowed, WHO use it in their definitions, it not something feminists have made up. I guess the problem is with those who literally believe they are female and they find it offensive.

FemaleAndLearning · 12/10/2019 17:56

Have anything you like printed on a lanyard and quite cheap. You could use the colours green and purple from suffragettes (hope and loyalty).
What shall we go for? Definitions of nouns please with only a few words, it is quite hard to come up with one that only has three words so it fits! Teapot was brilliant but too long.

I have a lovely brooch
www.museumselection.co.uk/jewellery/suffragette-brooch/

I enjoy wearing it when in the company of those with rainbow lanyards.

Reveal one of those! 😉

My ribbon arrived and I made the lanyard - I love it and already had lots of compliments/envy. It's v wide though, so not a discreet choice.

Also I want ALL of the badges. Also found a gorgeous Still I Rise pin on Etsy. Will be clanking as I walk.

Hands off my rights
That is lovely and for those not aware of the suffragette colours it may spark debate.

Absolutely. I was telling a female team member about it and we chatted about the current state of play with women's rights. They had no idea what's happening and have certainly been peaked!

@FemaleAndLearning

Just to flag that there is a postcode on one of the photos of badges you posted.
