Didn’t see the program but Pointless was trending on Twitter.
I read Tweet after Tweet saying how wonderful it was that little OJ had been knocked out so quickly.
He’s usually so right about absolutely everything, I can’t understand how it happened.

If he'd have been on with his mum, they'd have won - she's really good at stepping in with an answer when he's floundering.

DH loves this show, but when Paris Lees and Owen Jones were introduced I said, "Sorry, we cannot watch this!" He understood my reasons, and by the time they introduced Quentin Letts (we were sharing a certain sense of horrified fascination) he changed the channel.

I love Pointless and was watching yesterday, too.

Paris Lees seemed very nervous........I'm not sure that most audience members would have been aware of them or who they are. Could pass as female, on first glance, but 'something' not 'quite right'......Very self conscious body language, and at the end when Lees and OJ exited the show, it was interesting to observe an uncomfortable couple of moments when they instinctively went to perform a 'male' type of back slap/hand-shake gesture with each other - to then perform a hug instead.

Owen jones far too cocky and sure of himself for my liking, and Alexander Armstrong made a comment/question, at one point, about whether "he'd moderated some of his views now that he'd grown older".

I am convinced a Pointless staffer must be GC and was protesting OJ and PL being on the show. There was both a Father Ted clue last night and one that used the abbreviation TIM, I took it as a nod to PL.

I turned on for round 2 because someone said Victoria Derbyshire was on-I didn’t know who got knocked out til this thread! Might have to go back and watch from the beginning.

I’m so puzzled by Owen Jones. I have never come across anyone who can be so fundamentally right about some things and so fundamentally wrong about others.
