At the library doing some research for work, and came upon an exhibition about transgenderism. Pride of place is this critique of the Liverpool ReSisters.

Something very off about the curation. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Jesus those stickers are obscene and creepy in a library. Are young kids walking past that? I'd only expect to see a drawing like that in a school toilet cubicle. What is the library thinking?

Stickers weren’t anti trans. Why are libraries promoting this? Do they also have pink baseball bats with barbed wire and anti t**f T-shirt’s with fake blood?

I don’t know what the library are playing at.

You’d hope that anyone with half a brain who hadn’t heard about this would then look up Liverpool ReSisters and do some further research. That’s how I came across Mumsnet, FPFW, etc, and had my eyes opened.

And I just looked up that hashtag on Instagram, it’s grim viewing.

Do you have any FairPlayForWomen leaflets to leave lying about, in the name of sanity balance?

Can’t see any difference between those stickers and the feminist ones in respect being inappropriate for kids

How were the originals 'anti-trans'? That's an inaccurate (and defamatory) description.

As you say, Lemon, what it's most likely to do is lead people to question the statement 'women don't have penises' ...

I didn't have any stickers or postcards with me but I think I'll go back tomorrow and postcard the ladies' bogs.

People do indeed have genitals.
Men have penises and women have vaginas.

Nice appropriation of the "this girl can" campaign too. The image # seemed to show adults. Why do adults want to define themselves as girls. But I guess age is just a social construct like sex
