Rape how do other counties fare?

The news recently has had disappointing data on the small percentage of rapes reported to the police and the small number of them who are followed up by the CPS.
Is this unique to the UK? If it is not, then how do other countries fare statistically? Is it a global phenomenom or do other counties get it right? I'm well aware many counties get it worse, much worse.

In Italy less than half the cases which arrive (after years) in court are convicted.

It doesn't help when we have the highest judges in the land overturn convictions because

The woman was too ugly to be raped
She was wearing jeans so it couldn't be rape
It wasn't a rape by numerous men but group sex after an initial rape
You were drunk or took drugs so not rape
You werent a virgin at the time so not rape

And other disgusting verdicts they've put in against women

Canada is not great on these kinds of stats either. Once a sexual assault case gets to court the conviction rates are not bad compared to other assaults, but many cases don't get that far. So cases that they think won't get a conviction, they don't go forward with, which is normal in all kinds of cases, but in sexual assault they are dropping a lot of cases, comparatively.
