Why don't we just give all children puberty blockers from the age of ten?

They're so safe and completely reversible and they're just so so wonderful. That way children can be presented with an unbiased choice of whether to remain the gender they were assigned at birth or explore other options without any need for an urgent decision.

In case its not clear I am being sarcastic. I am so angry with mermaids who as far as I can tell are overtly abusing and promoting the abuse of children. Fuckers. Every last one of them.

actually it's my one of worst nightmare senario.

Good question.

Tyrotoxicity · 15/09/2019 15:15

Bloody hell, Stealth, don't give them ideas!

You're being sarcastic but you know it's one of the steps on the path to technological and biological augmentation and eventually uploading all our minds into some sort of virtual reality, right? And if we haven't broken the back of this male-dominance shiz before then we are irrevocably buggered?

HotCheese · 15/09/2019 15:17

This terrifies me, that this bullshit science is being passed off as accurate, and otherwise intelligent adults are actually believing that it’s fine to “pause” puberty, with no cares that puberty is how children grow up.

My son likes dresses and makeup, the only reason I currently have an issue with this is because if school has had any bullshit mermaids training they will assume that my son is actually a girl.

I’m also baffled how so many people think this is ok and not state sanctioned abuse.

Antibles · 15/09/2019 15:37

Good sarcastic question. Sometimes following a batshit argument to its logical conclusion shows it up for the insanity that it is.

A bit like when the Dutch (likely piss-taking) trans-age chap went on a TV programme with the transwoman, arguing that he'd believe TWAW if they would believe he was the age he said he was. Left the transwoman spluttering 'but , but, it's not the same" when of course it's precisely the same.

Saltovinegar · 15/09/2019 15:42

I know of someone who is involved in a fundraising activity for Mermaids and they are struggling to get support, there is a lack of ticket sales and donations. Hopefully people are starting to distance themselves as they realise this is s toxic organisation.

Antibles · 15/09/2019 15:43

That's good news salt

TaskMistress · 15/09/2019 15:47

Hang on- maybe we just puberty block the male sex. No 'men' therefore no misogyny.

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 15/09/2019 15:48

This suggestion has actually been made by some TRAs on Twitter...

StealthPolarBear · 15/09/2019 16:23

Really?!
I am taking my children. If anyone wants me I'll be in whatever tiny island is left where this crap hasn't permeated.

The comments below that article are quite comforting. It seems that more and more ordinary people are becoming aware of the horrific truth that was being silenced by the media black out and #nodebate, and once they know what is going on they are refusing to fall into line with the trans agenda.

Delighted to hear that this awareness is starting to have an effect on the war chest at Mermaids. safeschoolsallianceuk.net have been doing sterling work, providing educational establishments with facts they can use to protect children. I expect most teachers recognised the sexism and homophobia inherent in the Mermaids agenda, but felt too isolated and powerless to raise objections.

This amazing 17 minute video tells the story of what is happening so succinctly.

I’d bet my house that the same people totally on board with blockers and/or cross-sex hormones for children and teenagers make sure to buy organic, non-hormone treated meat, chicken, eggs, and dairy.

For some reason, eating a hormone-plumped roast chicken is life-threatening but titty skittles or T-shots for the kids, not to mention their growing into an entire lifetime on synthetic cross-sex hormones, is just letting them be their best selves.

SetYourselfOnFire · 15/09/2019 20:10

The title is an actual argument some extreme TRAs are making. "I didn't consent to puberty - put all children on blockers until they're 18." I had this argument with 2 on Reddit and 1 on Twitter.

Tyrotoxicity · 15/09/2019 20:53

Hang on- maybe we just puberty block the male sex. No 'men' therefore no misogyny.

To be honest this is what we're all too uncomfortable to admit.

Patriarchy will endure until we find a way to neutralise the physical advantage of the human male.

We're never going to overpower them - and if we tried we'd only end up recreating the dynamic of oppression amongst subgroups of women (just as they will do if they succeed in replacing us with technology).

We can only ultimately win by finding a way to collaborate - and there is always going to be one thing stopping that, isn't there? Because so long as they have the physical edge, they will always get to set the terms of the collaboration.

But the equality lie went mainstream, and it wouldn't be fair to only puberty-block males, so it doesn't happen.

"I didn't consent to puberty - put all children on blockers until they're 18."

Bully for you, mate. I didn't consent to the ongoing process of being the recipient of female-specific socialisation. Where do I lodge a complaint?
