Leaked document. Girls must bow to trans rights in school

This is absolutely the last straw. I really thought the tide was turning, and that our voices were finally being heard.

I know it's been applied informally by some schools but this would make it official guidelines, the exclusion of girls who are uncomfortable sharing single sex activites/toilets/changing rooms or even sex education with a penis.

This is horrifying. How are there not more comments on your post? It's everything we have feared.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 14/09/2019 21:20

OP - there's another thread about this - probably why there aren't more comments.

Mumminmum · 15/09/2019 11:24

But the Equality Act should also protect girls! I get so freaking angry. This is it! Next time I am at the childrens' school, I will bring the "please respect girls' right to privacy stickers and put them up in the girls' toilets.

Inebriati · 15/09/2019 12:28

The end goal seems to be to get the Equality Act overturned. Its supported by every single political party, and few politicians seem to support the EA.

This is cutting off the tree branch you are sitting on.

There is another thread on this urging everyone to write to their MP, the EHRC, Liz Truss. There’s some good advice on what to say. Please write now if you care about girls.

I really thought the tide was turning, and that our voices were finally being heard.

It's top down, it does matter if the tide turns, the sky is dead set on one direction.

I think this was one of the best comments on that article, and it sums up what I feel about this whole, absurd situation.

"We are consulting with teachers, parents and various pro trans and feminist groups" And we've decided to ignore some of the teachers, most of the parents and all of the feminist groups."

andyoldlabour · 18/09/2019 08:52

I think that where a school introduces that policy, then every single parent would have to withdraw their girl from school until the policy is reversed.
If everyone stands together then the authorities would have to back down.

Link to the other thread. Scroll to the end for a post with links to Safe Schools Alliance and advice about writing to MPs etc. It is so important that we challenge MPs or this will go through with catastrophic consequences for our children - especially girls.

I think this will all be sorted once the new EQA is published early next year.
