Apologies if this has been covered but... trib.al/8YEbDxG

Nothing like a straight talking Yorkshire man.

He sounds like a knob.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 14/09/2019 18:58

What’s wrong with Fireman Sam?

JazzyBBG · 14/09/2019 19:00

I bet there's no trans in Pontypandy. Quite possibly otters though. NORMAN!

He definitely is a knob (a bit of a neanderthal rather than a nasty misogynist, I think). Still, if anyone is on twitter, I think it's worth twitting him with some GC info.

Unfortunately if we are to defeat self ID we need the attention of everyone, not just those who are friends to women.

Bracknellite · 14/09/2019 19:10

Straight talking = Trappy cunt who thinks his opinion is more important than anyone else’s.

Binglebong · 14/09/2019 21:19

Good man otter!

Yes he's a pain but we need people to call out this ridiculousness.

HPFA · 15/09/2019 20:12

Are people aware that he's inadvertently come out as gay?

Otter in gay hook-up apps refers to a man with muscles and a lot of body hair.

PancakeAndKeith · 15/09/2019 20:14

You could have warned me that was a sodding Daily Mail link.

Oblomov19 · 15/09/2019 20:19

Came out as gay? Recently?

Oblomov19 · 15/09/2019 20:30

Girlfriend of 7 years, Louise Davies?

JasBBGG · 15/09/2019 20:52

Perhaps he's a lesbian otter.
After all anything's possible.

Stu138 · 15/09/2019 20:56

Gahh the Daily Hate picking up a non-story and shouting about "political correctness", same old same old fodder for the borderline fascists.

I don't think the guy understands the complexity of gender identity, I'm not pretending I do though and for anyone who is over 40 it can seem a bit of an alien concept but does it matter if a small group of people who don't follow the norm wish to identify as a gender or no gender?

No. Not at all. If you read this board you will realise the reason people are pleased when attention is drawn to this area is about topics which do matter and draw from the same philosophy, such as:

  • Men being housed in women's prisons.
  • Men competing in women's sport.
  • Women being forced, in law, to provide intimate services to men who identify as women.
  • Women losing the right to divorce men who legally change sex.
  • Women being abused for discussing women's rights.

I'm sure you can see why such topics might interest a women's rights discussion forum. Look around, it's interesting.

It's really not that hard to understand. There is an awful lot of expertise on gender on here. Many on here work with/are friends with/are family to/are trans people.
