How to meet like minded GC women?

I’m so frustrated that the last WP meeting local to me was hijacked by TransActivists. I fear it means that any meeting of like minded Rad Fems and GC women is organised under a veil of secrecy. I would love to be more involved and hear more from Julie Bindel, Karen Ingala Smith, Sarah Ditum etc but how? I can’t imagine these events are advertised because of the threat of TRA disruption. Similarly, if I tried to organise my own women’s group locally, I know it would again be targeted. It’s so annoying to be silenced and stopped from gathering with other women.

Can you connect with a ReSisters group near you?

How about going to filia and meeting people there? Is there a local ReSisters group?

'With difficulty', I'm afraid,

A while ago I put a post on a friendly, local 'Sisters' Facebook group that is meant for local women to share info. It's a bit of a hippy and full of inspirational quotes type posts but I thought it could be a safe place to put my head above the parapet.
I asked if anyone else was concerned and wanted to meet up. One person wrote back quite shocked that I was 'anti-trans' but it was all quite amicable. I did meet two other GC women through it and we met up once. All have young kids though so it's hard to keep it up!
It IS hard to find other people to meet in real life isn't it?
I recently bought one of Standing for Women's "Adult Human Female" bags.
Sort of thinking that if I wear it around locally, it could start some interesting conversations? I would definitely say hi if I saw someone wearing one.

Thanks, I haven’t heard of filia and didn’t know ReSisters had local meetings. I’m learning so much.

The Bristol WPUK meeting last year was blocked by masked wankers. I’m embarrassed to admit it intimidated me out of going.

I posted about the GRA consultation in my local mums FB group last year and a few people "liked" (more said you are a transphobe). We met in the pub last year - there were 4 of us. We've picked up others along the way - from mumsnet and twitter and friends of friends. There are now 30 of us in a little secret local FB group and we meet up in the pub once in a while. I don't live in a huge town.
