No minister is likely to hold back the people pushing the agenda, the major pharma players rarely get held back by anyone.

I'm sceptical of the pharma conspiracy theory ... if they were pushing this, I'd have thought by now they'd be getting very cold feet.

I was more concerned that Mordaunt might get that job back again. So I agree, it has effectively kicked the trans issue into the long grass whilst the Conservatives remain in control (which might not be for long).

The longer it's in the long grass, the more evidence accumulates.

Most (not all) people who “might be currently aligned with MN feminism board are no friend of women / children / the working class.

Hmm Do you mean GC feminists?

Because this board is full of people who prioritise women and children and in particular those women and children who live in poverty.

I am very sick of left wing judgementalism.

Plenty of fiscally conservative people believe strongly in opportunity for all. A sort of Octavia Hill model.

Within my local friendship group I have been critisiced harshly for:

  • sending my children to private school
  • being a landlord
  • driving a car
  • expressing some understanding for Brexit voters (who are 'obviously' all racist. Though some of the accusations directed at the 'white working class' would have met most definitions of racism.)

Actually I gave huge numbers of volunteer hours to support activities for local kids, effectively worked two jobs, have spent a decade supporting elderly parents, and raised kids to believe education carries with it social responsibility. I am also a good landlord.

This issue was my wake up. People are not better because they believe the 'right' things. They are not better if they believe TWAW. They are not better because they believe in Momentum fiscal policies, which I doubt will leave anyone better off. I am not 'better' either, but happy to debate and to defend my views. What I will not accept is being written off as not accepting a level of socially responsibility. Isn't this issue about protecting vulnerable women and girls and ensuring healthy young are not funneled into life long medicalisation.

There is some weird claiming of language. To oppose self ID you need to be GC and a feminist and therefore be left wing. Sorry. Self ID is a bad idea and affects the rights of all women. Any straight thinking person is entitled to oppose it.

Didn’t pay much heed to the pork and cheese Minister until she joined BoZo’s leadership campaign. She was questioned about Iran and his role as Foreign Secretary and blatantly didn’t even know Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe‘s name. Disgusting.

You don't need to be any of these things to oppose self ID. Lost of people who believe in gender are against self ID.
