That poor poor woman. theres no reason for any of it other than utter hatred for women and the assumption they somehow have the powers of god and everything is their fault

Shit. That's horrible.

And this is why legal systems need rules against double jeopardy, so that the state can't use repeated trials to persecute people over and over again until they get the result they want for political reasons. (Which is what this is - the persecution of an individual woman to shore up the political belief in state sanctioned misogyny).
