Good, robust column here from Rhodes. Laying out the issues related to self ID (especially postYaniv) clearly and matter of factly.

She says and i quote - there is one incontrovertible fact; transwomen are trans women.
Yes they are not women, not now and not eve, so should stay OUT of women's spaces and make their own third spaces which they can share with any allies who would like that option.

Indeed, I spent a good hour and a half discussing this case and more with a prominent MP who argued that the Yaniv case illustrated the discrimination transgender women face every day.

An MP who appears to think women should be made to wax lady balls apparently. HmmAngry

One of the very few people I saw to defend Yaniv's right to get his ladyballs waxed was an adviser to the Scottish government, I forget her name.

Ms Leeze somebody

ScrimshawTheSecond · 26/08/2019 21:41

Yep, that rings a vague bell. I was quite taken aback, considering even Morgan Oger had dissociated from Yaniv.

Leeze Lawrence self identifies as an advisor to the Scottish Government and said something supportive about Yaniv on twitter.

Mandy Rhodes is great, and has done lots of good work on menopause - wonder what she thinks about the HRT shortage, and how we decide whether it's the trans women or menopausal women who get the medication?

(For clarity, I think it should be the women, on account of the fact that their health will actually be compromised if denied the HRT. Transwomen don't need HRT. They might want it, and it might help their desire for attention secondary sex characteristics, but, they won't die if their skin isn't softer)

Thanks, vivarium, that's the one.
