Sorry if this has already been posted, catching up on old magazines on a sunny afternoon and feeling inspired by this. Women are absolute warriors, why we aren't running the world I don't know (I do really, the patriarchy)!

I wonder if their kids will develop a taste for milkshake.

I haven't read the article, but I did read something recently about the limit of human endurance and the stats decide this on the maximum calorie expenditure a human can manage for a prolonged time. The answer was either pregnant or breastfeeding women, I can't remember which. They can consistently burn many thousands of calories a day for days on end - perhaps it's this innate biological capacity that enables the ultra running too.

Ultra marathon women start to beat men.

Sport was invented by men, for men to compete in, to showcase the things they are good at, for men to watch.

For sure when it comes to brute strength and speed they beat us every time. But what would tests of prowess look like if women had designed them. No idea. But we start to win if the competition goes on for days...

Yes I have read that incredibly long distance running is one sport where women naturally have the advantage.

Some science papers also suggest it's not very good for you though....
