Just saw this and thought some people here would be interested. It's sad news but it sounds like Magdalen is being well supported.

Wholly inadequate for Magdalen, her family and friends and a heart felt thank you for your strength, courage and hard work in highlighting the issues of trans ideology and its impact on women's rights.

I stumbled over Magdlen's youtube channel years back, and have been watching her videos regularly ever since. I've always very much enjoyed Magdalen's smart analyses and sharp wit. That is also how I learned about her diagnosis months ago. I have often thought about her since and hoped against hope she would win this fight.

I'd like her to know that with her vids about gender and the current 'woke mysogyny' that engulfs us, she has been a true inspiration and has left a lasting impression on me. If not for her I probably would not be as outspoken on those issues irl as I now am.

I wish Magdalen and her loved ones strength and peace on this path.

In a piece of black humour... Dr Haddock has a go on Twitter at the trick cyclist for gloating over Magdelen’s prognosis. Many calls for the sponsors and colleagues to reprimand/distance themselves from said cyclist.

Strange days indeed where dr haddock makes sense and acts like a human being.

I’ve missed RMs gloated being blocked obviously. Gosh when I didn’t think they could sink lower they crow about terminal cancer!

I don't expect RM to behave like anything other than a piece of shit, but I am surprised at the stupid. We're often reminded by TRA types that trans people have lower lifespans than the average. Its thus not a particularly good idea for someone who thinks woman is a feeling to get gloaty over premature deaths. Pure self interest alone should shut RM the fuck up.

Don’t give them the attention they want. Ignore them. Even Dr H is only getting involved for the attention.

You honestly think it’s acceptable or a sign of decency to take pleasure in hearing that another human being is going to die, at a relatively very young age, from an inoperable and incurable brain tumour? And then to express that pleasure publicly on social media?

I sympathise with her only in the same way I would for any human being dying in such circumstances, at such a young age, & who is facing up to all that is involved with that. I’d never wish that sort of thing on anyone, irrespective of who they are or what they’d said or done

To take glee in someone's untimely death is to have judged this person incapable of transformation, unworthy of a typical lifespan. It's a horribly toxic attitude to carry through life

It would be a tragedy if she was 80, but it's just so bitterly cruel that Magdalen is so young. Fuck.
The world is better because of her, and it still will be when she has gone.

That open letter is brilliant. It’s a shame it’s needed. I guess some people just suck at being human.

And I think Harrop was genuinely shocked. Let’s see if he distances himself though. I’d not want to maintain a relationship with anyone with such repugnant views.

That letter is excellent. I really hope there is an appropriate response to it.

I've had one anonymous philosopher complain about the letter so far, but I am NOT calling for McKinnon to be fired. This is very gentle pressure and very different from TRA treatment of women. I won't engage in those tactics.
