It’s nice to read a bit of common sense now and again

I was talking to someone I know who works with the medical databases where I live - it looks like they are planning to code for three fields for this - one for legal/social gender, one for birth sex, and one that somehow indicates what your medical status is now, for example if you have had some sort of surgery or hormone treatments that will affect your medical care.
