First, thinking bio sex is relevant to sporting performance does not mean you hate trans people! Do not adopt their language OP

Secondly, I highly doubt anyone said that. It’s not unusual for elite female athletes to be six foot - it’s a ridiculous statement.

How to counter it: where is the retweet or screenshot? No receipts = didn’t happen.

I'm nearly six foot, and when I did a competitive martial arts tournament I did receive hostility from other women actually, based on my height.

I never did it again, not enough support around me (team wise) to deal with the horrible people involved. Not fun. I'm a woman socialised as a woman I guess, I like being liked. Maybe a man wouldn't have cared. Dunno. Makes me sad. I think it would be different at a higher level. I don't know why they did a competitive fighting tournament if they didn't want to be tapped.

However I've never seen anyone in this debate ever say anything other than sport should be divided by sex. Male sport. Female sport. TRAs just make shit up.

What can be tricky about this is that sometimes people have said something that seems similar to what they are claiming. So people often point out that greater size, as a group, is part of the advantage men, as a group, have over women, as a group.

A lot of people are really just incapable of thinking in terms of class relations. Or they can, but then can't switch to individual contexts. Or they can't switch between personal instances and principles.

So they make these errors in understanding arguments - maybe deliberately but in any case a lot of people think its valid because they can't see the difference.

How the heck do you get an advanced degree if you can't get to the higher types of abstract thought?

A tall woman still has far more in common physically with another woman than she has with a man.

We know it isn't about size from the numerous sports that have weight categories where size for size men out-perform women.

It is an absolute nonsense to go round pretending you don't know this. Just plain bare faced lying.

It's the 'EU bans bent bananas' line. An American told me in all seriousness that in the EU you're not allowed open egg boxes to check for cracked eggs, the EU made it illegal. There's no freedom in Europe, only US citizens are free to open egg boxes.
