I am in the USA so no idea if you have the same programming outside the country. There is a new stand up comedy series on Netflix hosted by African American comedian, Tiffany Haddish, called “They Ready” which I just started to watch. The first episode was Tracey Ashley who was hilarious, so I kept watching. The second was Flame Monroe. If any of you have access to this I would give it a watch, not only is he hilarious but he talks openly about the fact that he is transgender and has a penis and is male with new breasts. At times he refers to himself as a Drag Queen too, but his entire set is talking about the reality that he appears feminine (despite being clearly over six foot and fabulous) but has a penis and is a single FATHER of three. He also says how he can’t keep up with all the different identities and he just wants to know “do you like penis, do you like vagina, or both?” He says that’s all that matters. He is actually very gender critical as he is very open and accepting of his reality. The ONLY negative part of his act was his words about his two “baby mommas”. Anyway he’s well worth a watch as his set is hilarious and I’d be interested in your thoughts.
P.S. it was a black woman who is giving him his National TV comedy break and he thanks and acknowledges Tiffany. Also he talk about how it’s still safer for him to identity as a transgender woman (with big boobs) than as a black man when stopped by the police.
