This is a useful review article on what we do and don't know about sex differences in the brain and where they come from, with pointers to interpreting neuroscience studies.

The short summary is "that most brains are comprised of unique mosaics of male-typical and female-typical features (Joel et al. 2015a). This is why it is meaningless to talk about “the male brain” or “the female brain” "

I'm just posting it here for reference, should anyone ever need to back up an argument about brains and sex differences.
