What does "trans-masculine" mean? I've not watched the video, I've only read the intro and wondered what it meant.

A woman who identifies as male, although there's probably some subtlety to it that non-cult members don't know.

According to gender wiki (who knew there was such a thing) :

*Transmasculine is a term used to describe transgender people who were assigned female at birth, but identify with masculinity to a greater extent than with femininity. Usually transmasculine people try to appear stereotypically masculine in terms in their gender expression in order to create social recognition of their dominant male identity. The genders that fall under transmasculine include:

Transmen
Demiguys
Multigender people who's strongest gender identity is a masculine one
Gender fluid people who are masculine most often
Any other non-binary gender who views themselves as significantly masculine*

I hope that's made things quite clear Confused

A tomboy basically? Ffs. So much navel gazing these days. They should donate their energies to climate change instead and make a difference in the world for the benefit of all.

I'd go for a load of bollocks - but not in the literal sense Hmm

Is this what happens when you live in such a priviledged society that there is only the point of Maslow's triangle to worry about?

pombear · 04/08/2019 22:15

Jac, my lovely, according to your interview, you're protesting for the right to have

...short hair ( I do too, and also coloured, almost like yours, but just a different colour)
....binding (I normally wear an underwear garment that you might not class as 'binding' but very similar, because it makes me feel more comfortable about my body)
...wave flags. yeah! Wave your flags. But if they're to affirm the stuff above? I'm not sure what the fuck you're waving for - affirm my right to have short hair and wear a binder . OK. Cool. Cut your hair. Wear that shit. But where in the memo does that translate to 'men are women, accept dick or you're shit?'

DpWm · 04/08/2019 22:17

I'm evah so special because I cut my hair short and I don't always wear a flowery dress every day.
Trans masculine.

Falls under the "trans" umbrella (like just about everyone) so makes the person extraordinarily oppressed, despite being a wealthy white student in a posh part of the UK, so terriblyopressed, I can punch Terfs and get away with it because it's self defense.
I think that's about the summary of it.

Doyoumind · 04/08/2019 22:22

I still have never come across anyone denying these people exist. Why is it always about them saying they exist?

Jac is very young and comes across that way.
