Inspirational. Thank you

ScrimshawTheSecond · 03/08/2019 23:30

Brave women. Well done. I'll be interested to hear what the museum does now.

BustedWench · 03/08/2019 23:47

Solidarity and respect!

Angryresister · 03/08/2019 23:47

Great action. Well done. You definitely must have made quite a few unwoke people think.

Lucky222 · 03/08/2019 23:53

Hi Joss! Fancy a natter?

FloralBunting · 03/08/2019 23:59

Lolololol. You got Joss all excited and in the end it was just a free protest about women's rights and they don't give a shit about that. You could have at least given a make up or haircare tutorial or some gossip about Strictly. Proper laughing.

2BthatUnnoticed · 04/08/2019 00:16

Good work OP 💚💜 Solidarity and so glad you shared.

thirdfiddle · 04/08/2019 00:27

Well done women. Very clear demonstration of how scared they are to let anyone hear logical argument and valid concerns. Can't have been pleasant to stand there being chanted at. Now let's see if the museum were listening.
I wish I wasn't such a long way from everywhere. I will try to wear my AHF t-shirt about town some more. This bullying is so wrong.

SRYneg · 04/08/2019 00:41

Well done all

RJFirth · 04/08/2019 00:48

And yet you probably think your fruity little cult is still on the right side of history.

ReSistering · 04/08/2019 00:49

Well done, what a noticeable difference between those seeking active peaceable demonstration and those intimidating and trying to shut down women, again (yawn). Some are still living in the last century (or the one before it even!) Honestly?!

S1naidSucks · 04/08/2019 01:01

And yet you probably think your fruity little cult is still on the right side of history.

There’s no need to talk about the TRAs like that. It sounds awfully homophobic.

SRYneg · 04/08/2019 01:40

Highlight in that respect was gc middle aged woman with hands in pockets talking to tra in mask.

AnotherAdultHumanFemale · 04/08/2019 01:50

Thank you for protesting. It's so clear from the photos that you are a peaceful group of women, and the trans rights activists tower over you, and look aggressive with their face coverings. Horrible how they forced you out in the rain too, including a disabled woman.

It's frustrating how they then have the cheek to accuse you of 'literal violence' and all the rest of the hyperbole but I like to think anyone with a few brain cells can see what's going on.

2BthatUnnoticed · 04/08/2019 03:32

Agree with S1, no need to refer to transactivists as RJFirth did. And many gay men laugh off “fruity” these days but others still see it as a slur.

But back to the point of the thread - well done, everyone and here’s to a great (rest of) weekend.

ChattyLion · 04/08/2019 06:52

Thank you to everyone involved. Flowers

Thingybob · 04/08/2019 07:04

Gosh weren't those counter protestors so brave standing up against the scary looking women.

Thank-you to those involved, you made them look so stupid.

Habbers · 04/08/2019 07:13

They look unhinged trying to stop women upholding their rights.

SunsetBeetch · 04/08/2019 08:47

Brilliant. Maturity, calm and rationality in the face of shouty, masked idiots.

I recognised that chant from somewhere - it's from the charming Degenderettes and their pretty baseball bats. Why is "trans activism" so shouty and aggressive?

stillathing · 04/08/2019 10:48

In the words of Sisters Uncut "We made them stand in the pouring rain while we stood strong and shouted down their weak attempts at protest.

In many ways feminist protesters don't have to say a thing to make their point, they only need to be there. (See also the reaction to Gemma Aitchison's powerful protest against VAWG, where she stood silent and still, mouth taped up).

What spoke loudest at both of these protests is the actions of those who oppose the woman /women. It shows the truth for what it is. These counter protests can't help themselves. They can't hide their aggression and entitlement. They can't stop themselves physically attempting to prevent women being seen and heard. They literally play out misogyny / internalised misogyny through their actions. I suspect the whole thing got a lot more attention because of them.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 04/08/2019 11:03

Poor Joss has missed the point a bit there, I fear.

Habbers · 04/08/2019 11:42

We made them stand in the pouring rain while we stood strong and shouted down their weak attempts at protest.

It's just so blind.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 04/08/2019 11:46

Ha. Joss CAN'T GET ENOUGH of mumnet. It's a real obsession for them.

Always makes me laugh the thought of them peaking in and bursting a blood vessel

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
