Anyone on here going to this on Saturday? I’ve got a ticket but am going by myself so a bit nervous!

Opps just realised the starting time. Will see you both at your suggested time.

It sounds brilliant but too far for me to travel. Have fun.

BingBongSong · 25/07/2019 23:41

Great, see you there!

SlipperyLizard · 26/07/2019 10:18

Sorry placemats, just sent you a message before I saw your post! Ignore me!

Not a problem.

LikeothersIamjustme · 26/07/2019 10:47

Would have loved to but only found out yesterday and too short notice. Is there a place to sign up to be notified of future events?

DJLippy · 26/07/2019 11:34

Sign up to our mailing list and we will let you know when we put on another event

With the trains down here being pretty much at a standstill I have no chance of attending.

Those of you who are, it looks splendid.

DuMondeB · 26/07/2019 12:33

I’ve got a ticket but not entirely sure if I can make it yet.

Hope so! I missed the Manchester WNTT event with Posie back in September due a a poorly child, so I don’t want to jinx myself by saying I will definitely be there.

LikeothersIamjustme · 26/07/2019 15:37

Thanks DJ Lippy - Done!

checkmaid · 26/07/2019 17:09

I'll be there!

FortunaMajor · 26/07/2019 17:44

Slippery, Bing and Placemats

Have messaged you to see if I can tag along with you too please?

Just got back from holiday so only saw the event today. Hope that's ok.

BingBongSong · 26/07/2019 17:51

I've messaged you, Fortuna Smile.

FortunaMajor · 26/07/2019 17:56

Thank you Bing. I'll see you there.

Igmum · 26/07/2019 19:15

I've just bought a ticket - very excited (as long as I get back from dropping DD off in time) would love to meet up too!

MoreNiceCereal · 26/07/2019 19:54

I will be there! Very much looking forward to it.

QueenArseClangers · 26/07/2019 19:54

I’m getting the train now. Would love to meet up with MN folk too.
It’s too hot for the ol’ MN scarf, shall we recognise each other by a carrying a bouquet of ice pops?

SlipperyLizard · 26/07/2019 20:30

I’ve sent you PMs Queen and Igmum

A couple of people will be there from Safe Schools Alliance, please say hi if you can. Although I have realised you have no way of knowing who they are I am sure they will make themselves known in some way or another! We have yet to develop a secret sign or signal. Working on that!

dancingcamper · 27/07/2019 07:49

I'm going too. It says doors open at 5 so I'll aim to get there around then. Will say where I am once in the venue, be good to meet other Mumsnetters.

BustedWench · 27/07/2019 12:32

Will there be a Hashtag @DJLippy so us unable to attend can follow?

Have a great evening

BingBongSong · 27/07/2019 14:09

From FB:

ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM - UPDATE!
Unfortunately Charlotte Hughes is unable to speak at our event this afternoon. Don't fear we have found a new speaker - Liverpool ReSister Sarah Cooksley.

Sarah Cooksley is a founding member of Liverpool ReSisters and ReSisters United. She is a survivor, a mother and an occasional deep thinker. She would describe herself as a budding feminist, who reads the works of Andrea Dworkin, Audre Lorde and Germaine Greer in between mothering her six children and creating societal unrest. She was born in America, lives in Liverpool and is planning to be a psychologist when she grows up.

You get a sneak peak by watching her speech at Liverpool City council against the Lord Mayor Jo Anderson's decision to remove single sex spaces from the city. (16.10 minutes in)

If you haven't done so already get your tickets here

Sarah Cooksley is a wonderful speaker - looking forward to hearing her again tonight.

placemats · 27/07/2019 14:14

I've made the executive decision not to go. I've paid my fee and hope it goes someway to sponsoring the event. The weather here is vile. Have a lovely evening everyone. xx

FortunaMajor · 27/07/2019 15:00

Sorry to hear that placemats, but as a soggy mess on the train I can completely understand. Hopefully next time Smile
