At my place of work we have a series of workplace equality networks - gender, LGBTQ, disability, race, social/economic mobility etc

I'm a member of the gender one which has really seemed to have signed up to gender identity instead of sex as a concept Hmm

Does anyone have any experience of how these sort of networks and whether they've been able to build any allies?

I'm feeling very alone at the moment!

I am in a similar boat.. and also seeking advice/help.
We haven't got a gender group in our workplace (yet) but I have suggested a feminist network to the Diversity person.

However, I did a small amount of research amongst the professional, young to middle aged women I work with, ALL bar one described them selves as not feminist, didn’t see the need for it, had never had a problem themselves, etc....when I recovered from the shock and squeakily asked them to consider the position of women generally, as an oppressed class, look at how women's rights are being eroded, etc, they just rolled their eyes and giggled a bit.

I do have two allies, however. A young man on the LGBT group, who is pissed off with Stonewall, and another dinosaur feminist woman..
