On his Facebook page, he's posted about the JY case! Great to see it getting coverage

My admiration for Ricky Gervais grows by the day, though I shall love him forever for the joy that is 'Afterlife'.

For anyone who hasn't seen it (it's on netflix), it's a sometimes challenging but ultimately incredibly life-affirming comedy-drama which tackles bereavement and grief. Ricky demonstrates within in it the love he has for his partner, via a depiction of the grief of a man losing his.

I wonder if he could do a ROGD to detransition series. He has an ability to combine comedy and heart rendering situations. He'd have to be bloody brave to take it on tho and not sure who'd show it. Maybe one of the wonderful brave detransitioners could work with him.

I’ve long been a fan of Ricky’s and I loved his stand up show on Netflix, where he mentions Jenner. It was so refreshing. Love his tweets about most things really. He is how most people should be I think, in regards to saying what we should be allowed to etc.

Ricky is a consummate atheist. He doesn't do magical thinking. I am glad he has taken the war to Twitter, after having the courage to talk about this in his stand up.

Now will somebody send a memo to Frankie Boyle. I used to admire him for his no bullshit attitude to politics. But his only comment about the trans debate is to have a go at Ricky Gervais's stand up comedy skills. A comment one would say was bitchy if it had come out of a woman's mouth. I'll just say it was cowardly, because Boyle knows it is all bullshit, but is not as brave as Gervais in calling it out.

Boyle has on occasion written for the Guardian, might even be a semi regular, bit like Stuart Lee, I'm not sure as I no longer read it. So perhaps he's making sure that little number and the promotion and pocket money is available to him?

I think that Boyle is a lost cause - he said something on twitter, I can't remember what now, that was pretty TRA. Or maybe he retweeted something.

I get the impression that he moves in a pretty pro-TRA bubble. All of the female comedians he works with now and most of those he has worked with in the past are pro-gender ID - Katherine Ryan, Josie Long etc.

(Personally, I think that Boyle's done some brilliant, hilarious comedy. He sometimes says stupid offensive things in the moment, but some of it is absolute genius)

I can't believe Boyle isn't fully aware of what has been going on in the name of trans activism. At the very least, he would be aware of Glinner's treatment. It's some fete of cognitive dissonance to laugh at Brexiteers for their unicorns and glitter thinking; but to not see that it is the exact same type of kidding yourself ideology and authoritarian tactics that runs transactivism. He's in the same school as James O'Brien in that respect.

I've just come on here after seeing Ricy Gervais' Twitter account with references to this case. Who is JY?

There's more to this than just JY suing women who won't wax his balls. There's the aspect that the women are all minority ethic women, on very low incomes, mostly working from home - and JY has racist tweets on record. He only seems interested in women who don't want to wax him. He can sue for free as it's a human rights case, and he's settled out of court with some of the women. At best, he's doing this to make money out of them. At worst he's also deriving pleasure from the fact they don't want to.

Then there's also the aspect that he's been perving on young girls and has a fetish for tampons, which he like talking about with young girls. He likes to ask advice for what to do if he happened to be in the ladies and a 10 yr old asked him how to insert a tampon, on her first period (as if), what should he say?

There are screenshots of this all over the internet, this isn't a secret.

Then there's the aspect that Jonathan Yaniv is a trans rights activist and likes to make a big deal about campaigning for things like trans people like him having access to women's facilities, or other stuff like this week I think he's campaigning for children 12+ to be able to be topless in public facilities (what was the detail of this? I forgot).

And then there's also the aspect that Twitter had banned dozens of women, if not hundreds, for misgendering or criticising him - including prominent Canadian feminist. Meghan Murphy - despite his predatory activities being common knowledge on twitter. He claims to have influence on Twitter, and although it seems unlikely, the reality is the quickest way to get banned from Twitter seems to be to have a go at JY.

Then there's the aspect that the law in Canada on self ID has been set up so that it is bound to enable predators and grifters to harm women and kids. Feminists have been threatened, doxxed, banned, lost jobs and friends, had our meetings shut down, cancelled, ignored and misrepresented int he media for saying - exactly this kind of hting is bound to happen with such sloppy laws that have been enacted without any consultation with groups representing women's rights.

JY is a massive fucking I told you so. And hopefully, now the world is watching and going - WTF is going on here?

I made a terrible mistake and agreed to a 9 mile walk last week. I couldn’t even moan about how hard it was as everyone else was 70+ or even in their 80s! Plus I had to carry my massive 5 month old baby for some of it as it was too rocky for the pram.

I got involved with several threads about JY and got locked out for this. I can delete it but if I'm right that goes towards 3 strikes.

Thanks to those of you who explained who JY is. I've now read up on it and find it unbelievable. He is horrendous and I cant believe it's got to court.

I also came across an article with screenshots of JY on some forum talking about young girls and tampons and his own periods- wtf????
