I posted a while ago re this event I’m at today.
I’ll be data gathering re the amount of time dedicated to different inclusivity themes (and whether the LGBT centres on the men and the T).
It’s fairly busy and there’s already videos of Pride and the company’s involvement. It’ll be an interesting day...

QueenArseClangers · 22/07/2019 09:49

Totally being outing but it’s for the Co-op.

Starting well with female speaker showing the Nike women in sport ‘crazy’ video.

Big mention of BAME inclusivity.

NeurotrashWarrior · 22/07/2019 10:24

Following with interest.

Pisses me off that inclusivity rarely seems to mean disabilities or autism these days.

JackyHolyoake · 22/07/2019 10:25

The Co-operative organisation has its HQ in Manchester.

Many of the key protagonists for transgenderist ideology live and work there.

We have to choose a problem to solve. I’ll add pic...

Reading that list made me laugh.
I used to enjoy training days.
I would suggest to be more inclusive you could have Fetish Friday
Of course your customers might decide to go elsewhere
But hey you'll get plenty of woke points.

DpWm · 22/07/2019 10:50

I just want to write "through interpretive dance" next to all the answers! I do hope you have a genuinely productive day.

NeurotrashWarrior · 22/07/2019 10:55

Well ok at least number 3 is there.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 22/07/2019 10:55

It’s a commendable list

I’ll be interested to hear how they plan to approach those aims

NeurotrashWarrior · 22/07/2019 10:58

It mentions part time workers but doesn't mention sex. Most part time workers are Mothers

No mention of pregnancy or sex.

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/07/2019 11:04

Neuro I don't know about the Co-op, but we have a big Tesco near me and the majority of the staff are only on 16 hour contracts.

Fibbke · 22/07/2019 11:06

Bloody hell, it's a shop that sells fags and meal deals, not NATO

donquixotedelamancha · 22/07/2019 11:09

We have to choose a problem to solve.

I'd choose the one about diversity data and start by altering gender to sex (which is the actual protected characteristic). I would probably also want to include the other protected characteristics which are unaccountably missing.

This gives the opportunity for silly wokeness to be challenged, because you can highlight where policy affects groups like women or Muslims who are often missed in this sort of exercise.

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/07/2019 11:12

Fibbke I think they identify as NATO

Watchfulwaiter · 22/07/2019 11:22

It's a surprisingly good list, apart from, as someone mentioned, it doesn't mention pregnancy (or childcare). Probably written by a man/non-mother.

Name me an organisation that doesn't put gender instead of sex, but, yes, of course, that too.

After their strawberry advert, I am pleasantly surprised that there is no inappropriate pushing of the tra agenda whatsoever.

NeurotrashWarrior · 22/07/2019 11:23

Ah ok Red

V interested to see what is fed back from
This/ what people choose.

GiantKitten · 22/07/2019 11:27

Ohhh question 5! "…diversity data (ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender, colleague adjustments)"

According to the Equality Act, the protected characteristics (and therefor the relevant diversity data to be gathered) are: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
