Help needed to explain to my gay friend about what is wrong with mermaids

As the title says. My son has been referred to GIDs by CAMHS and my friend is asking why I won't contact mermaids instead.

Drinks have been had so I would really appreciate a succinct response instead of me wittering on about jelly baby training 🙈🙏🏼Arch

Do take a look at the GIDS piece in today's Times - discussed on the Andrew Gilligan thread today

IMy son's youth worker is also a mermaids advocate*

Bloody hell, there’s no hope is there.

I am so concerned that so many posts I'm reading regarding yp referred to gd services have asd diagnosis; I feel like all
The threads I've clicked on this week have involved a yp with asd.

Thanks to QueQueQue and others.

Tomorrow is my 2nd monthly meeting for parents of transgender kids.
In the 1st meeting last month every parent bar one said their child was autistic:
When I questioned it I was told it was a coincidence

A coincidence?
With around 1% incidence of autism in the general population?
Can they do maths?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 20/10/2019 10:43

I’d avoid these groups and focus on the child. If you suspect autism see an Ed psychologist. Focus on the root cause of issues and not (harmful) modern trendy gender theories.

Not a coincidence. Anyone who has studied stats of psychology can confirm this.
