I've just come inside to find my partner dancing to Rabbit Rabbit (Chas n Dave)
I class myself as an equalist (if that's the right word) I support equal rights for ALL so I haven't come on here to be shamed for anything.
Anyway, just had a discussion with DP as he had my DS (19 months) with him, singing all the words to him.
My DP is the same as me and wants everyone to be judged and treated the same and fairly.
Until today I honestly never gave much thought to the words of this song, we came across it when DS was very small and he liked the song and it stopped many screaming sessions.
Am I right to ban DP from listening to this when my DS is around?
I want to raise my boy to treat everyone with respect and I think this song is awful for women.
I already have anxiety about bringing up a boy in this day and age and desperately want to raise a great man with good morals and respect to all and not to feel entitled to anything because of his sex.

Seriously?? I used to love this song as a child, I had no idea what the lyrics were or what the song was about (still don’t?) all I knew was they said rabbit over and over and I liked rabbits.

Think you need to relax...

what the song was about (still don’t?)

It's a piss take of songs that say women should look good and not speak.
