Woke up and, not being able to get back to sleep, picked up my phone.

I haven't read them all, of course, but from what I can tell the 3000 responses to their tweet so far not surprisingly don't seem to be in support of their view.

Sorry, but what does getting "ratioed" mean?

CodenameVillanelle · 19/07/2019 14:22

It means when the ratio of comments to likes is out of whack ie a tweet gets a small number of likes but a lot of comments - it means people didn't agree

ZebrasAreBras · 19/07/2019 14:34

Queer Theory & Kink are doing untold damage to the LGB. There was a news thing a few days ago that "tolerance towards LGBT has peaked in the UK, and that people are less tolerant than a few years ago.

I think it's because stuff like this - like drag kids, and kink, and pups and furries etc all seem to be under the LGBT umbrella now.

The normal person on the street doesn't approve of the sexualisation of children, especially not when the news stories ran "Amazing Desmond performing in a gay club, dancing and being handed money by adult gay men" - not a good look.

Not sure if this link will work but is from The Sun on my apple news newsfeed. The more you read the more you think - this person has some serious issues that go beyond ‘gender id’.

Trans woman spared jail after lashing out at cops for 'using wrong pronouns'

A TRANSGENDER woman jailed for dousing her ex in bleach has avoided prison after lashing out at cops who "didn't use the proper pronouns". Charlotte Blundell, 26, had been sentenced to 22 months for a "frenzied" attack on her ex-boyfriend - during which she also tried to set him on fire and stabbed him with...

CodenameVillanelle thanks, I keep seeing it on twitter!

I wonder what is included as "intolerance" too. I could imagine that transphobia and kink-shaming could cover a high proportion of it.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 21/07/2019 09:44

But when ‘hate crime’ and ‘intolerance’ covers calling a male person wearing male clothes by their male name you have to wonder about the stats.

DpWm · 21/07/2019 10:12

Whenever I hear about this Desmond child, I instantly think "His Dad is going to be arrested with a massive child pornography collection any day now" and wonder why no one's actually checking the hard drives.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 21/07/2019 10:33

I feel sorry for that child. He has been described as having autism and is exposed to a very sexualised world.

TheBullshitGoesOn · 21/07/2019 10:51

Desmond is Amazing's mother is horrified that a paedophile finds her child sexy.

dailycaller.com/2019/07/02/mother-child-queen-convicted-pedophile-sexualizing-son/

Could she really not see that coming?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 21/07/2019 10:52

She is not of a high IQ I suspect. Yes, of course creeps and paedophiles shouldn’t drool over a child but come on missus, you are projecting the image here.

CodenameVillanelle · 21/07/2019 11:17

Desmond's sister posted a lot under a buzz feed article once. She had pics of them together and it seemed legit. She said that Desmond's father is domestically abusive and that their mother coaches Desmond in what to say, drills the routines etc and that drag isn't really his passion in the way it's portrayed (and monetised)
It was very interesting and not at all surprising

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 21/07/2019 11:22

Big sister I assume? That’s interesting. I think mum just sees $$$$. And why is social services not banging on the door? A little girl dressed like lolita dancing for bucks in a nightclub would ring alarm bells.

TheBullshitGoesOn · 21/07/2019 11:23

That is disturbing codename. But, as you say, sadly not surprising.

Poor kid.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 21/07/2019 11:26

Sad thing is that with groups, cults and groups years later the nasty stories crawl out of the woodwork (that weird woman in Australia who said she was Jesus with those poor abused kids). These are the people we joke about, raise eyebrows about and get called out for criticising them or suggesting they are abusive or paedphiles.

‘The truth will out’ (as my mum used to say - and she had a brilliant ‘dodgy person’ radar) but how many kids and young people will suffer as a result of ‘Don’t be a killjoy - you are too stupid/old/ignorant to really understand’ mentality?

CodenameVillanelle · 21/07/2019 11:27

Yes older sister - different father.
Social services have investigated but their systems and thresholds are very different to ours in the U.K.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 21/07/2019 11:27

So if they called the kid by the wrong pronoun he’d be taken away!
