Safe Schools Alliance action regarding EHRC - we need your help

Many of you signed our letter to the EHRC calling for a full public consultation over their forthcoming Schools Guidance for supporting gender-questioning and transgender children. They sent us a vague non reply back and so we want to take more action to keep the pressure up.

Could we ask MNers to write to your MPs (PM me for a template letter to make it really easy!!) to request that they ask the EHRC for a full public consultation?

If anyone who writes can you please leave a note here or PM me to let me know that would be good, just so we could say "X supporters have contacted X MPs about this" if we contact them again.

Excellent idea. This guidance is years late. I presume it's because what they wanted to force on schools - that children must share showers, changing rooms etc with the opposite sex if a child claims they're 'transitioning' has proved to be illegal and they are now twisting and turning (and failing) to insist that everything must be mixed sex.

They'll come up with something long and complicates that implies the above (to guilt trip schools into complying) so that only the legally knowledgeable will be able to understand it.

Of course, they just hadn't anticipated women not being so keen on us or our children undressing in front of the opposite sex (bigots that we are )

I would like the template please, although as my MP refused to see me about any of this I don’t hold out much hope that’s she will even look at it. I suspect it will be weeded out by her gatekeepers.

Please be very careful sending template letters to MPs. Many MPs will no longer support campaigns where templates are used. MPs are there to support your issues and problems so you should personalise the letters with how this will impact you, your family, your community, your workplace, your schools, your hobbies etc.

Thank you OP for raising awareness - I miss a lot of the consultations.
