"We don't want people seeing content that violates our policies."

Erm... That could have been worded better!

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 16/07/2019 16:14

Wtf MNHQ
Is this some sort of automated advert post? Badly misfired. It needs a report button of it's own.

I've reported it and suggested sensitivity training.

How inappropriate.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 16/07/2019 16:38

Just screen shot that advert. FFS MN, maybe some forums are not quite appropriate for this?

Dervel · 16/07/2019 16:54

Sorry should I have not posted that? :( I didn’t want to cause a problem?

No! MN have started inserting advertising posts. Very bad taste given your topic here.

AnnaJKing · 16/07/2019 16:58

I keep trying to report it but it just takes me to a post about Borax Confused

liquor865 · 16/07/2019 16:59

Just read that I think it's so sad. Poor girl. Social media has loads of stuff everyday that no person should see and sadly this is another one.

MumofTinies · 16/07/2019 17:02

Oh MNHQ that Ad placement is awful.

That poor girl, why do people continue to share the image?

Dervel · 16/07/2019 17:03

Ahh I see it when I click on the mobile site (I usually am in desktop mode). There were no ads so I was confused.

I’m just beyond angry with this as I’ve been seeing people actively blaming the 17 year old for getting murdered?! I thought things were bad but I had no idea they were THIS bad.

That's absolutely horrible.Sad

He had followers who actually went to some effort to make sure the images were spread. WTAF?

isitwhatitis · 16/07/2019 17:52

It's on twitter too, I've reported it many times. Thankfully I've not seen it as it screens it and gives a sensitive content warning.

"Gorehounds". Yep, there's a word for it. Oddly, possessing and circulating snuff appears not to be illegal in the way that images of child abuse is. I suppose the difficulty is in policing it - because it's legal for actors to depict murder on film, any snuff consumer could just say they thought it wasn't real.

www.thepostmillennial.com/the-brutal-murder-of-bianca-devins-reveals-the-problem-of-incel-culture/
Interesting article linking to incel culture.
Very few news outlets reporting on the story have accurately transcribed these details, instead calling Devins and Clark a couple
BBC uses the word 'couple'

powershowerforanhour · 17/07/2019 15:36

Oh; seems they were gloating incels not gorehounds. A slightly different flavour of horrible weirdo, though I wouldn't be surprised if there's some crossover.
(Nowt wrong with being a weirdo...only with being a nasty weirdo).

PerkingFaintly · 17/07/2019 17:10

Those screenshots of "incels"... Yuck.

I suppose it's better to know there are people like that out there, but...
