I can't help thinking that lifting the publication ban is a precursor to finding in favour of the defendant (respondent?).

Public opinion will only go one way, and at lightning speed now. Not something you'd encourage if you were intending to find in favour of JY.

With the lid off, surely there will be demands for people to be held accountable now.

Our government need to address how they would handle a similar situation.

I get the impression that the post millennial is a bit contrarian, a bit spiked or quilette, not a mainstream paper. Might be wrong. But it's good there is some coverage. Well done Elsie for reporting on this.

I can't remember who upthread mentioned posting a card to the women, but i think it's likely a card in an unsealed envelope wouldn't make it to Canada. The lawyers can open it (you could even put a note on the outside to that effect?).
