Anyone listening to woman’s hour this afternoon?

V good discussion about lesbian erasure chaired by Jane Garvey, fabulously robust and even handed. The lady from Get the L Out was utterly splendid. Clear about the evidence of sexual coercion she has gathered; all the other side could say is “well that hasn’t happened to me.” So fucking what?
Glad to see this issue getting airtime.

Yes - Angela Wild was very good - there was some discussion about it earlier in the week ^

I enjoyed the two musicians who provided the signature song for Gentleman Jack. I agree with them that there just aren't enough songs about women called Beryl Grin

That discussion has really caused me problems.

The three women who support men's rights to be lesbians if they identify as women and dismiss what AW was saying because they haven't experienced any erasure and neither have their friends, was like what used to happen when women spoke about sexual violence and they were told it didn't really happen. I was told that my rape wasn't rape (despite needing medical treatment!). It's like the whole Me Too movement doesn't apply if you're a lesbian women, especially a younger one.

I've been really disturbed by those three women ever since I listened. I'm not lesbian but if some women don't have the right to say no to sex with a penis, society doesn't actually support any of us rejecting it.
