Oh, and from what I've already seen on Twitter about Pride Lancaster - what happened to those lesbians peacefully holding banners was lead by a ver young man of the "G" variety.

Fake lesbians, there have just been other posts stating that the people opposing them might also be fake lesbians. it seems to be a tactic on both sides then.

If you feel pride is unsafe for lesbians then you better tell the 1000s of lesbians that attend and have no issue about it at all. The people that don't feel safe are the ones making others not feel safe. but no one should not feel safe even the people with bigoted views who attend pride.

Because at pride there are a far larger number of lesbians who support trans rights than don't as is repeated every time you do this at a pride event.

As a straight woman (who likes penis very, very much, and therefore has no difficulty whatsoever in understanding the concept of being a lesbian and liking vulva just as much as I like penis) I'm still baffled as to why Pride is no longer welcoming of women who are same-sex attracted.

No-one's saying you can't be "pansexual" and like whatever combination of genitals and "gender presentation" does it for you. Be that, celebrate that.

But why prevent a historically oppressed minority from celebrating their sexuality? And why only lesbians? (Well, we all know the answer to that. Same reason prostate cancer campaigns aren't talking about "prostate havers", and men's sexual health campaigns aren't talking about "penis havers". Good old misogynistic double standards in action yet again.)
