I've never seen it before. Written in 1981 for the stage. £3 on DVD from Amazon.

It's really very good. Very current again, re women's spaces and women's lives.

I haven't seen the movie, but I think I saw that as a stage play in the 80s when I used to see a lot of live theatre. If it's what I'm thinking of, I remember it as being very, very good.

It's dated in some ways but in other ways, not at all.

It debuted at the Royal Court apparently, which I can't imagine happening now.

One of the worst plays I have ever seen - didn't return after the interval.
Lots of nudity and talk about vibrators for no better reason than to titillate.

Any messages about women's space was obsured by very poor characterisation of vulnerable SEN and elderly women. Not Nell's finest
