Book recommendation please

Staying with family. overheard phone conversation with niece, just finished gcse.

Planning to visit close family. She asks “would it be ok to go without makeup?”

Any suggestions for a book I can get her for when she gets her results

Do you mean something like The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf?
Or (more old fashioned hard line feminist) Beauty Secrets by Wendy Chapkis?
Or (v quick read) Why we should all be feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

THanks. The last one sounds particularly likely to be suitable for the niece, not too heavy and positive.

I would also recommend Girl Up by Laura Bates. It's aimed at young women, I already have a copy for my 12 year old niece but it's a bit sweary in places so I'll wait a while.
