Wondering about a complaint to charity commission about Mermaids?

The more I read about Mermaids, the more horrified I am. And this is a charity that is set up to support vulnerable children and their parents. I was just wondering if a group of women should work together to put in a complaint to the charity commission about this charity and asking the commission to investigate. Ideally signed by as many supporting organisations as women here can find.

You have to complain to the charity first.

More about this in this thread:

Also links to complaint to use. I was wondering if more individual letters would have more of an impact.

Okay thanks, makes sense when I think about it.

Charities should report all serious incidents to the charity commission themselves.

There is an argument that this is a serious incident and therefore should be reported.

One of the problems is that since the Oxfam scandal, charities are reporting much more into the charity commission. So my understanding is that they have a back long of work to get through.

You can also complain to MPs & Lords who are part of APPG concerned with charity regulation, Child Protection etc
