I'm still crying at this. Baby girl left on a rubbish dump in India. Thank fully saved and now in hospital awaiting adoption.

Heartbreaking reality of being a girl.

Apparently it is very common in this area to prefer male children and leave girls to die in these situations. Utterly horrifying.

Poor scrap.

If only she'd had the sense to self ID out of girlhood at birth, eh?

2BthatUnnoticed · 16/06/2019 17:28

Not India, but around 300 baby girls are found in rubbish bins every year in Karachi. Heart breaking.

UrsulaPandress · 16/06/2019 17:30
Sad
joystir59 · 16/06/2019 17:35

Let any transactivist try and claim they are more oppressed than 'cis' women or that to be born female is a fucking privelidge!!!!!!

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 16/06/2019 17:45

How dare they leave her on a rubbish heap, it's very transphobic to assume her gender. They could have been misgendering her - that is obviously the biggest crime here (sarcasm, obvs).

This just shows that biological sex is real and matters, more than gender feelz.

beeyourself · 16/06/2019 17:51

This is just awful. I want to set up a big home for abandoned baby girls, give them an amazing education & the confidence that they don't need a man for anything.

ImperialPleather · 16/06/2019 17:56

That poor poor baby 😭

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 16/06/2019 18:53

I'm so fucking angry right now, angry that girls lives are valued so little that they are left to die like this. I'm so angry that we are apparently privileged to be born as girls when we are valued so little by society and men that our voices, our bodies, our minds are not taken into account for anything - this is the patriarchy in its purest most horrific form.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 16/06/2019 18:57

But how did they know this little un wasn't a boy, eh? How dare the mum or midwife assign 'female' on this poor child.

This really sucks - but the way women and girls are treated it's hardly a surprise. The reported rapes, murders and honour killings shitty murders is horrific.

littlbrowndog · 16/06/2019 21:58

Ooh the poor wee girl. How awful that a mum feels like she has to dump her baby girl or was forced to.
😢😢😢

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 16/06/2019 22:26

I'm so glad she was saved, I hope she remembers nothing of her ordeal. It is so depressing that we live in a world where this could happen.

2BthatUnnoticed · 16/06/2019 23:51

I just braved myself to watch it, my word, I cried. The poor darling.

I don’t think we have to link it to the trans stuff going on in the Western world though. It’s a tragedy in itself, the whole “cis privilege” ridiculousness is irrelevant (I get it though).

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 17/06/2019 02:10

Absolutely 2B, but it is yet another extreme example of the patriarchy in motion. Females are brutalised and left for dead because of our sex, we cannot identify our of our sex no matter how hard some may try - we are being told that our sex is irrelevant and this highlights that it clearly isn't irrelevant right from birth.

OP posts:
2BthatUnnoticed · 17/06/2019 05:23

Yes agree with all that, hope this little one is adopted by wonderful, loving parents Smile

Gingerkittykat · 17/06/2019 05:37

Was that the placenta still attached?

Heartbreaking this wee girl was abandoned like that, thoughts are also with the mum who felt so desperate leaving her child in a dump was the only option.

wafflyversatile · 17/06/2019 06:07

Poor child. At least she can take some comfort that thousands of miles away some internet warriors are using her situation for their own agenda.

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2019 06:10

Oh poor little thing. The after photo did little to get that image from my mind.

BoudiccaKate · 17/06/2019 06:43

What agenda is that wafflyversatile?

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 17/06/2019 08:25

Waffly I'm not a keyboard warrior or have an agenda if you are referring to the trans debate - I'm so sad and angry that women and girls are still treated this way in 2019. I do lots to try and help these women.

It is imperitive that we are allowed to keep our language. It is not about trans it's about realising our sex is important and that is not being taken Seriously by government and orgs.

OP posts:
Catapultaway · 17/06/2019 08:36

@wafflyversatile. Well said.

Heartbreaking

RogueV · 17/06/2019 08:40

Poor little thing Sad

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 17/06/2019 08:52

Revolting post wafflyversatile

One thing we can be sure won’t help this little girl and others like her: pretending people born with penises suffer from the same discrimination as those born with vulvas.

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 17/06/2019 09:06

I'm honestly so fucking angry that Waffly and others are hijacking a thread about a baby girl being left for dead because she was born a GIRL. Myself and others are stating the hypocrisy of this given the current sex denial era and you claim we are keyboard warriors. ODFOD.

I do lots of fundraising and raising awareness of these issues so sex matters and language matters - that Is all.

OP posts:
S1naidSucks · 17/06/2019 09:14

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge don’t waste your anger in them. They’re just doing the keyboard version of sticking their fingers in their ears and going ‘nwa nwa nwa, I cant hear you’. It lets them pretend that an innocent female baby being murdered is nothing to do with her sex. That way they can continue shouting at the bad women.
