Dd uses TSR and says these types of threads are common. Had a read through and it seems most are in favour of biological facts.

I couldn't read further than the first few pages. It's like Twitter but without the deletions.

Think I'll stick to here, the tone is more academic.

I'm surprised and a bit heartened by that. I've not used that forum in years but I remember in my day there were also a lot of mature student posters who would obviously have more life experience and a different outlook and people generally respected them.

I spent a bit of time on TSR when I was applying for postgrad courses. I only once got involved in a trans thread, where I tried to engage in polite debate, only to be called a TERF and told to shut up and that 'we don't debate TERFs' along with nonsense about literally erasing people's existence. This was for objecting to being called 'cis' and giving my reasons why. I had only just become aware of the issues, and I remember it well because before that I had thought that surely the GC people must be exaggerating about the hostility they faced for stating their position.

If the forum has become a bit more sensible since then, I'm very glad.
