Would a move back to single sex education help our girls?

I've been meditating on this recently - particularly seeing reports of the shocking levels of sexual harassment girls experience at school, as well as seeing the levels of gender stereotyping both my DC (one of each) have experienced since they were born. It made me wonder whether a move back to more single sex schools (for secondary at least) could actually have a positive effect on children of both sexes (and girls in particular)

Less sexual harassment, less stereotyping and as I understand the research shows that children do better in single sex environments, where they don't feel they need to 'perform' for the opposite sex. It also means that difficulties of puberty including hormones, menstruation etc can be dealt with in what might feel like a more safe environment.
Thoughts?

As mentioned, I've taught in both. Girls in the all girls' school were if anything less bitchy than in the 3 mixed schools I've taught in. Certainly not more so.

No "girls" subjects like childcare were on offer. There wasn't even a textiles option for tech, though the art teacher was very interested in textile art so there was crossover there.

GCSE Engineering.

A level maths, bio, chem and physics bursting at the seams.

Loads of sport - far more involvement in sports than I've seen from girls in mixed sex schools.

Most girls, right through to 6th form, didn't bother wearing makeup to school. Unshaven legs in year 9 (age 13/14) not unusual. Total openness and zero embarrassment about periods.

I bloody wish I'd gone to a school like that, and I wish I had the option of sending my dd's as well.

Life has taught me that NO type of school means your child can for sure avoid the teenage issues of bullying sex friendships etc. Not private state public single sex mixed or grammar.

No, but it might lessen the risk.

Loads of sport - far more involvement in sports than I've seen from girls in mixed sex schools yup and therefore generally healthier mentally and physically.
