I don't know if this has been posted before; I seem to remember having seen something about or by Radical Snippets here once.
Anyway: I found the Patreon blogger Radical Snippets through Facebook. She has many very well-written and profound blog posts and articles, but as a mixed-race woman, this one in particular caught my attention and raised my ire.

Apparently, FGM is horrible, but the apparent "cissexism" endemic in discussing it is even worse.
What kind of mind even THINKS that way?

Schooling victims of FGM that they are not allowed to state that they were cut because of their female sex.

Organe stating that FGM victims are selected based on their gender identity, not their biological sex because of course that doesn't exist.

Presumably those who are intent on performing FGM find an equal number of girls and boys, do their cutting on all children and somehow it is only the girls who end up mutilated. Somehow.

And the patriarchy is to blame apparently so women should accept Oger (a biological male) telling women to shut up about FGM. That's how to defeat the patriarchy apparently.

And then scolding Jana for talking about what happened to her. Because that's transphobic.

So. The way to combat FGM is to tell female-bodied potential victims to just identify as boys. Job done. It won't happen. Magical protections steps in.

But, seriously. The claims and reasoning of these people gets more outrageous by the day.

I'm having trouble with this sentence. On the relative severity of the words. It seems unbelievably crass to equate being 'unkind' with the trauma of FGM.

It's like the whole assault vs misgendering.

It's fucking men assuming that their experience is universal, that the worst thing they experience is the worst thing women experience, and using that as the basis for equality of severity.

And given how "triggering" the female body is, you'd imagine that male people who identify as women would avoid all talk of female biology like the plague.

But no, they seek it out - they are all over talk of FGM, menstruation, abortion, to talk about how "unkind" it is. To talk about it. Not to actually experience it.

You never hear of women who identify as men all over the prostate cancer online forums, asserting that men there have cis privilege. And that talking about prostate cancer is using their cancer as a leverage for transphobia. And making horrific racist statements to black men on there.

No, it is just women in the line of fire. As ever.

It all comes down to Morgane's own delusion that everyone sees Morgane as a woman based on Morgane's gender expression.
This dangerous deluded person should not be anywhere near a position of power.

There comes a point to step away from trying to engage with and figure out the logic to communicate with someone like this, because the bottom line is, they're out of their minds. You can't convince someone like this of reality or that other people have needs, they've lost all touch with it.

Well, it had to happen. Radical Snippets has had to take down her site and had been forced off Facebook and can't be messaged either through FB or Twitter; a bunch of men are after her. Luckily when people are forced underground they become like spies and find their secret ways of communicating. Things are planned.
I think the anonymous GC tribe is just as dangerous to the TRAs as Posie &co as they can't see what we are doing -- until it's too late.
