Whilst the videos and channels that will be affected by the new guidelines haven't been mentioned, the qualities listed mention gender but exclude good old sex:

youtube.googleblog.com/2019/06/our-ongoing-work-to-tackle-hate.html

"...specifically prohibiting videos alleging that a group is superior in order to justify discrimination, segregation or exclusion based on qualities like age, gender, race, caste, religion, sexual orientation or veteran status."

How long before this is weaponised against us do you think?

In 3, 2, 1...

Actually, reading into this a bit further I think it may be good news [argues with self]

The full policy [https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2801939?hl=en] actually does mention sex (well Sex/Gender but at least it's there, small wins and all that).

Most importantly it gives some specific examples such as:

“Get out there and punch a [person with attributes noted above].”

Hmm...

I think it's the blog that's actually quite misleading. The full list from the policy itself is:

Age
Caste
Disability
Ethnicity
Gender Identity
Nationality
Race
Immigration Status
Religion
Sex/Gender
Sexual Orientation
Victims of a major violent event and their kin
Veteran Status

Strange that Gender identity gets it's own category in addition to the sex/gender one Hmm
