pansexual yeah right. Like they have any choice. Tefal or Le Cruiset?

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 05/06/2019 19:30

Well, that just spurred me to make a third donation to the Challenging Thought Crime crowdjustice campaign.

The sooner we get a clear legal decision on this the better. Is it OK for lobby groups to use the police force to intimidate and silence opposing views, or not?

GassyAss · 05/06/2019 19:39

I was at the event in Leeds. That man’s friends both walked out. One young woman identified herself as a lesbian. One who I presume is a transwoman, called us all cis, then asked Shelia Jeffries what they were if not a woman, to which SJ replied you are a man. (I’m paraphrasing here).
I am imagine this is what they call hate speech.

BigMamaFratelli · 05/06/2019 19:40

West Yorkshire police couldn't organise a piss up in a breweryHmm

And even if they did manage to produce a half decent case, which I doubt, I can't see the CPS authorising a charge.

What a complete waste of resources!

BigMamaFratelli · 05/06/2019 19:41

Oh, but it was ok for the transwoman to call you all cisHmm

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/06/2019 19:41

What am I? WHAT AM I YOU HOMOPHOBIC CIS SCUM?

A man

Booohoooooooo! Police! Police! Won’t someone call the west yorkshire police! Here I have them on speed dial...

GrinitchSpinach · 05/06/2019 19:45

OT, but cracking up that I should live to see a Goonies reference on Mumsnet, BigMamaFratelli Grin Grin Grin

The escalation may well be due to anxiety about seeing the bloated gravy train drying up. If institutions stop paying for training or consultation then these groups will be on a level playing field with all other charities / voluntary groups.
As their advice is now being openly evidenced as incorrect, illegal and breaching safeguarding guidelines, it becomes far more risky for institutions to use them. Knowingly involving groups / individuals proven to be misrepresenting the law, undermining safeguarding etc opens institutions up to massive risks. Failing to use due diligence is costly down the line and all the evidence is piling up against these groups and individuals.

WYP are obsessed and clearly something is amiss here.

Outrageous.

Meanwhile in other news:

Perhaps WYP is swimming in money. Could they perhaps give some of it to Northampton services?

RJFirth · 06/06/2019 12:26

Massive thanks to the Spinners for putting up that video. It has been a big help getting those complaints in.

Birdsfoottrefoil · 06/06/2019 13:26

So West Yorkshire Police are investigating politicians to ensure their speeches are compliant????

DuMondeB · 06/06/2019 13:27

Massive thanks to the Spinners for putting up that video. It has been a big help getting those complaints in.

It’ll be a big help for proving no actual crimes have been committed.

littlbrowndog · 06/06/2019 13:32

Richard Richard.

Reporting women to the police for talking

Women they are such a bad bunch when they don’t comply

LangCleg · 06/06/2019 13:33

It’ll be a big help for proving no actual crimes have been committed.

Indeed. And will also fail to intimidate women from sharing each others words.

Escalation just makes everything that bit more obvious, doesn't it? One might almost say own goal.

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 06/06/2019 13:35

When will you realise Richard, that they are not wanting to hide anything? You don't need to make any secret recordings, because the women you despise are perfectly open with their views, and they are usually publicised freely.

Contrast that with the likes of Mermaids, who react with horror to someone recording the training they are giving in schools.

DuMondeB · 06/06/2019 13:40

Reminder of R Firth’s previous attempts to stop women from assembling:

This is an image that is sadly applicable in far too many contexts

I expect they recorded to make sure the q and a was recorded, which isn't usually. I wonder what crime he's alleging was committed by answering a direct question truthfully? I don't think there is such an offence (yet).

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/06/2019 13:49

Massive thanks to the Spinners for putting up that video. It has been a big help getting those complaints in.

I'm a bit confused a out what there is to complain about?

DuMondeB · 06/06/2019 13:52

Perhaps these threats of ‘milkshaking’ against the women speaking that day could also be taken into consideration by the investigating officers?

theOtherPamAyres · 06/06/2019 14:00

Are we sure that this has been reported to West Yorkshire Police rather than Safer Leeds Hate Crime Unit (aka Leeds City Council)?

Have you more information, OP?

theOtherPamAyres · 06/06/2019 14:02

I ask because the complaint against Heather Brunskell Evans was made to Safer Leeds

(sorry for double post, pressed wrong button)

And why could that possibly be Hmm

Wake up wyp. You have been had. Big time.

DerelictWreck · 06/06/2019 14:08

I’m truly sorry for any man who feels imprisoned and tortured by masculinity. But that is something for men to deconstruct, to dismantle and to overthrow. And there are men doing it. There are transsexuals and cross dressers and allies against the male stereotypes which damage everyone. But it is not the moral duty of women to facilitate that. If your feminism prioritises the internal identifications of men over the material conditions of women then you are not a feminist. In a world of structural and systematic oppression, and an epidemic of male violence, we owe it to women and to the legacy of every feminist who has fought before us, to stand for ourselves.

How fantastically well said.

JackyHolyoake · 06/06/2019 14:13

Those people reporting the speeches from the Leeds Civic Hall event to Safer Leeds or WYP need to familiarise themselves with Articles 9, 10 and 11 of the UK Human Rights Act 1998:
