See link https://wgscotland.org.uk to download a copy of the report.

Some of you may remember the survey was posted here, on twitter, Facebook and other groups, way back in the autum last year. This was one of the threads on it at the time. The response was amazing, and despite efforts to 'ruin' the survey, there was no stopping the nearly 2000 of you (there were some trans activists who responded too) from engaging and having your say.

The results are included in the report but the outstanding part of this was the clear, heartfelt and often deeply personal views and responses that were given. It cannot be stressed enough how important all your voices were in this. So a huge, genuine & sincere thank you to everyone who took part, responded and not just in the level of engagement but in the way you all came together to collectively give voice to how we are all feeling and why.

The final report is months of sweat, toil and hard work by a team who hope to have given your voices the deserved elevation they should have had long before now.

Read it, share it, use it. Speak to your MPs, MSPs, councillors etc. Make sure these voices are heard in as many places as you can. Your voices need to be not just heard but acknowledged and listened to. It's time we got a seat at the table. ✊🏻

And once again, a massive thanks to all who took part. 🙏🏻

That's something I've been looking at and it's a long complicated mess to unravel, mostly because it's been done behind closed doors, no open discussions & zero transparency.

I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash.

Official women's groups in scotland are not allowed to be anything but inclusive entirely or they will lose their funding. There was an official question about it last year.

This looks great, the report is getting out there...

"We were told how the cumulative impact of this policy (placing TW prisoners in women's prisons) has been to lead to major setbacks for women, including drug relapses."

Sad

Jesus.

Thank you for sharing those Twitter links. This is awful stuff.

An important point was raised at the Edinburgh Uni meeting by one of the speakers - the SPS prison policy, which as has been highlighted in the report as having an adverse effect on the female prisoners as you've quoted, was a deliberate strategy by the Scottish Trans Alliance targeted because it was a single sex space, with the most vulnerable women in "challenging circumstances". If they could breach this barrier, the others would be far easier to overcome in NHS wards, schools etc.

This is James Morton's own words on this very subject

And we all know what 'working intensively to support the Scottish Prison Service to include transwomen' is a euphemism for. Despicable that this was such a cynically and deliberately planned strategy to force males into women's spaces.

Yay Fekkosister was one of the many!

.. against the consent of those women.

We have a name for that cultural behaviour whereby males force themselves on females against their consent.

Social rape?
