I can no longer Google Mum.... so that Mumsnet Feminism automatically comes up

Am I being paranoid?

A few weeks ago on Google if I entered just Mums.... Mumsnet Feminism would autofill itself ie it had learnt this is where I want to dgo.... now I have to enter the full Mumsnet and often Mumsnet Feminism isn't even on the list of options???????

Me too, used to always be one of the 5 first suggested pages when I opened the google search bar on my phone (AIBU is still there despite my entering MN through this board 9 times out of 10!) It only comes up as a suggestion when i get as far as femi.

Reckon some of it is to do with finances/advertising/sponsored content though, mysteriously if I search online shops just the once they keep coming up in the first suggested sites

I use Chrome and when I typed Mumsnet into the search box just now a drop-down list gave Feminism as about the 8th option. I have FWR bookmarked on the top bar in Chrome, so usually go in that way.

Same for me. I have it bookmarked on my laptop but find it via Google on my phone. Glad MNHQ are looking into it.

I've also noticed this over the last week, I normally Google "Mumsnet feminism" which brought up the chat forum as first link. The last week or so, same as others have found, it resulted in old threads coming up. But tonight, it seems to be back to normal as first link again. Wonder if something has happened behind the scenes?

I've also noticed this when I try to pop in for a read whilst I'm at work - I usually go through Google very easily but lately I get pointed in every direction but here.
If I didn't know what I was looking for I'd never find FWR...

Mumsnet feminism in Google brings up this forum first and 2nd for me

It's whack-a-mole time. Now duck-duck-go (which was working perfectly yesterday) is not showing feminist chat for a search of "mumsnet feminism."

(This is with firefox on private browsing such that all cookies/history/etc. are cleared between sessions...)

I just tried it, got a couple of old threads from elsewhere on Mumsnet complaining about us, and a couple of news articles.

I usually arrive via a bookmark.

But if you search on DDG and mispell feminsm it's the first option!

It's the first on my list of results in Google, with various threads as the "more from" results.

Just tried typing 'mum' into my address bar, and the /talk/womens_rights address filled in. I'm on Chrome.

Just dropping in to throw some light on this. We've been doing some work to improve the visibility of various sections across the whole of Mumsnet - and the improvement to search results should now be taking effect.

Typing in, 'Mumsnet Feminism' should now display 'Feminism | Women's rights discussion & debate' at the top of the results pages.

@soniamumsnet Ah, okay. At least it's you that has changed the SEO and not a search engine conspiracy! Have you had any advice from your SEO people on how quickly they think they can reinstate the autocorrect authority?

Google has been having ongoing problems with its indexing. This may or may not be related.

googled and got the right page as first result.

Amusingly enough, I type d and Mumsnet feminism is the top suggestion.
