"In the absence of any government will to appoint a commission on this, I thought a Health and Social Care Select Committee inquiry would focus MPs on the issues at hand.
I still do think that.. but last heard from the Health and Social Care Select Committee were pointing to an adult LGBT healthcare inquiry as a relevant alternative forum,

"Problem is though this is a non science and medical focused committee, and not focused on kids, so not right committee to explore all the problems we are raising about kids, the ethics of giving them permanent treatments without evidence and when not offered as research (so the outcomes for the kids need never get published). Plus the lack of private and NHS healthcare provider oversight, and so on. These are health not rights issues.
Totally agree with you that we need to keep plugging at this as a health and lack of regulation issue with Sarah Wollaston MP, Chair at the Health and Social Care select committee, as the unanswered questions keep on mounting up.
Anyone can write to her to encourage the committee to look at this area and copying in your own MP and the Health Secretary may help to raise their awareness too"

Thanks @ChattyLion - it is really helpful to know how they are responding - and that they are not "getting it" - so that option can be mentioned and rejected when contacting them, directly or via MPs. It is so easy for them to fob us off with red herrings, even if they do not realise that is what they are doing.
@InsulatedCup and @OldCrone I imagine the GMC would need to be informed in order to know that Dr Helen Webberley is, while suspended, practicing as a Doctor in the UK.
I have archived the Safe Haven page advertising the "GenderGP Roadshow", just in case it "goes missing" archive.fo/OIGpH
This seems relevant:
Sanctions guidance for members of medical practitioners tribunals and for the General Medical Council’s decision makers
MPTS (Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service) and GMC
Fitness to Practise directorate

"91. Suspension has a deterrent effect and can be used to send out a signal to the doctor, the profession and public about what is regarded as behaviour unbefitting a registered doctor. Suspension from the medical register also has a punitive effect, in that it prevents the doctor from practising (and therefore from earning a living as a doctor) during the suspension, although this is not its intention."
"96. The doctor may, however, have contact with patients if supervised by a registered doctor, provided that the patients have been informed of the doctor’s registration status and the events that resulted in the doctor’s registration being suspended, and have given their full consent."
"163 It is important that no doctor is allowed to resume unrestricted practice following a period of conditional registration or suspension unless the tribunal considers that they are safe to do so."
Webberley might argue that the people attending the Road Show are not "patients". My understanding is that "Duty of Care" responsibilities kick in from the first point of contact (for a child that could be with a proxy, eg. parent) and that that would cover any opinion or advice requested by and specific to an individual.
I don't know if the GMC have issued rules, regulations or guidance on this but I seem to remember "media medics" on TV / Radio getting into trouble with the GMC in the past for advice given to members of the public.
The first half of the day sounds like "touting for business" and the second half like a "Multi-Disciplinary Open Clinic" with time for individual consultations aka "informal discussions" :
"The second half of the session will be an experts’ style Q&A with all 3 experts. If you are planning to attend and would like to submit a question in advance please let us know via e-mail to [email protected]
There will then be an opportunity for informal discussions."
IMHO the GMC would likely jump most quickly if approached by parents or individuals considering transition, who are wondering about the wisdom of attending the event. They would potentially receive medical advice and opinion that day, from a doctor the GMC has suspended from medical practice.
