I don’t know if it’s been flagged up here, and I haven’t seen it yet but thought I’d put a link

Watched this earlier.
Very eye opening.

Watched. Men's and institutional reputation prioritised by the business of university. Impressive women glad they complained and continued to challenge.

It is always about the cover-up, isn't it?

And there always is a cover-up.

The university appointed their Press Director to investigate.

The university said that there was no conflict of interest and that Peter Dunn, Press Director, would delegate his Press Director duties while the investigation was taking place.

During the investigation, Peter Dunn asked the women for feedback on a statement that he intended to release to the press.

The women were not notified of the results of the investigation and then the result of the appeals. The victims found out both times from the press.

Those poor young women treated so awfully. First of all from those men and then by the university.

Thank you for sharing this.

Yet another example of what should have been a trusted establishment fucking up a serious investigation, minimising the punishments for the perpetrators and trying to influence the press in order to make their image look good.

Disgusting.

This is what I found the most astonishing part of the programme. At least hold your hands up and admit what a monumental error of judgment it was to appoint the Press Director as the Investigating Officer.

Friend of mine was on the academic side of the investigation/disciplinary of the men in this case and talks of how she was side-lined and accidentally on purpose left off emails etc after she raised questions about the university‘s processes.
