Interesting article here:

I don't agree with all of it, especially the vasectomy bit which I think is just meant to be provocative, but a lot of good points.

I think there's more truth in there than most people would be willing to see.
I do however think there's more to it, in that I think some men really do see women as little more than vessels for their pleasure or to grow their baby - and care for it of course - he did his bit now be a good woman and get incubating and raising that valuable seed. And sadly, I think there are some women who agree.

I wish I could remember who tweeted it, and who the quoted people were but it was some American pro-forced birth bloke responding to being asked "What about IVF?",' (referring to all the little clumps of cells thrown out during the process). His reply was like "No, that's different because they aren't in a women's body". So no, it's clearly not that they hold a profound, sincere belief that all life is sacred and must be protected. They just want to own and control female bodies, and take malevolent joy in creating opportunities to punish women and girls.

Weirdly enough, I think I once read that "embryo adoption" is a thing in the US. Not sure though, can't remember the source.

It seems to be a thing in the UK too.

I found the 'ivf' quote;

It's not always considered different, Catholics aren't supposed to use IFV in part because of the fate of unused embryos, and some other religious organisations I think have similar views. I think embryo adoption might be something that came out of evangelical groups.

Jesus and Mo are quite astute.

It's all about control. Comment on Twitter:

If a woman has sex with 100 random men in a year, she can still only produce one full term pregnancy. If a guy has sex with 100 random women in a year, he can produce 100 full term pregnancies. So why exactly are we only talking about regulating women?

That's the one! Thank you, TheInebriati

If men don't like abortions then they don't have to have them, better still have a vasectomy so as not to impregnate women. Birth control is too often placed upon the woman when men are equally if not more (see pp about 100:1 pregnancies) responsible.
