There’s an interview on BBC News on the Hard Talk section right now, Ruth Hunt from Stonewall being interviewed about Trans issues. I’ve just switched it on part way through but the interviewer is asking some interesting questions about self-id and the the position of lesbians.

It seems interesting, hopefully it will be on catch-up.

I've just woken up this morning to Stephen Sackur interviewing Sharon Davies on the World Service. I thought she was hugely impressive!

Very polished, but a transcript would reveal some oddities, including right at the end where she says "the transperson who is a bit puzzling and a bit confusing" contrasted with the "nice" gay person.

She also claims that one improvement is the way police deal with hate crime, without acknowledging that this is one area provoking deep concerns from both left and right. Quite a lot of corporate stuff, and an assertion that initial consultation on trans was with a large number of trans people, and with businesses. She forgot the women. She always forgets the women.
