Misogynistic jokes in EC group chat.

I don't know what to do, I am known for 'causing problems' in as far as I also work in th same field as this extra curricular activity that my child does so I often nicely show they are breaking the rules (fe they tried to force a split in the group so that boys/girls at 8years had to play in there own teams despite the association saying that it should be mixed sex until 12.)

Anyway there is a group communication via what's app and one parent continually makes misogynistic comments about his wife and women in general all under the guise of a joke. It makes me feel very uncomfortable but I don't know how to approach it without ostracizing myself anymore. Help please

I'd forget about being nice and start every reply with a snarky comment "Be a love and do grow up ..."
Or a meme about the general incompetance of men

Basicaly he is the issue, the problem. Someone has to tell him to fuck off!

I would try to gain allies, eg the admin and other trusted group members, so message them directly or speak to them in person, so when this bloke does it again you can say "that's just sexist and offensive" or whatever, and you'll know you have support.

Or just go it alone. Say something. Others may appreciate it.

The former maybe, but not the latter. I would guess the OP wants this mixed activity to be conducted with an ethos of being respectful to both sexes. A message either to the admins or on WhatsApp to that effect (and that this attitude starts with the parents) might be the way to go.

But yes, you are right Smile

Thanks for your replies. Yes, Ideally I just want it to be about the activity so can't reply with something derogatory to men. I will start speaking to the admins thanks.
