Admirable.

FannyCann · 03/05/2019 18:21

Oh well done that woman. And thanks for the laugh too, I am picturing everyone at lunch, balancing their glasses and paper plates while tucking into the cold offerings, open mouthed with shock at the sudden unexpected outburst, quiche and broccoli lumps being coughed up left right and centre. Goodness, how did they find another hand to wield their phones? ConfusedGrin

NotTerfNorCis · 03/05/2019 18:25

A very brave person.

Angryresister · 03/05/2019 18:44

Inspirational! Now to go and crash the local pride thing down the road which has one lesbian film and several trans workshops in schools. Plus various formal events and round tables. Need to make a banner or placard in English and Spanish... But this woman was brave enough to do it alone in hostile territory. How brave was that?

from the OP article:

"Every organisation who spoke mentioned their Stonewall rating or Equality Index and how they were working on scoring higher next time, also how much work it took. It was like a playground game of 'My Daddy's bigger than your Daddy'! To be invited to speak, you clearly had to prove that you had taken this very seriously, wore rainbow laces, attended pride marches etc. Not a word about genuine equality, equal pay, promotion opportunities, or disadvantages suffered by women. The focus was solely on singing the Stonewall song, wearing its T-shirt and playing unquestioningly by its rules."

I dodged them and walked around the room, shouting my message like an Old Testament prophet.

😂😂😂😂 brilliant!

But seriously

Stonewall actually told their delegates not to talk to the protesters?? Like... they might be contaminated by the heretics?

Scary.

AfterEllen:
Stonewall Calls Police on Lesbian Protesters, Further Dividing the LGBT Movement
By Claire Heuchanon May 2, 2019
(extract)
Stonewall is Britain’s biggest and best-funded LGBT organization. Named after one of the most significant political uprisings of the 20th century, you would be forgiven for thinking they’d be down with a bit of lesbian protest. Instead, Stonewall tried to silence and remove the grassroots women’s groups who had set up a demonstration outside of their event in London.

According to multiple protesters, Stonewall then called the police. Two officers spoke to the women in question, judged that – contrary to what Stonewall said – they were doing no harm, and left the protesters to it.

Elaine Hutton, of Lesbian Rights Alliance, described the demonstration as “a joyous day, with different lesbian groups and individuals coming together to protest – we sang songs, shouted slogans and gave out leaflets, with some lesbians coming out of the conference to find out more.” (continues)

Now that was stunning and brave!

How can stonewall have any credibility as anything other than a TQ+ organisation when the disregard lesbians in that way.

ChattyLion · 03/05/2019 22:17

Oh brilliant to go in there and protest like that. Heroic stuff. Flowers

Note the difference: when TRAs come to women’s events do they peacefully listen in the venue or unthreateningly and good-humouredly demonstrate outside with a few banners or make their points over lunch break?

Do they fuck.
They try to get the venue to refuse to host the event at all, turn up in masks and block speakers from getting in, and shout ‘burn it down!’outside the venue.

SarahTancredi · 04/05/2019 08:20

Well done that woman!!

Brilliant!

Love the milk detail.

Of course milk comes from cartons. Stonewall deny biological reality.

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 04/05/2019 22:36

How to turn an actual brave campaigning organisation into an MLM organisation. Hmm

terfsandwich · 04/05/2019 23:52

I think it's fair to say that a lesbian must announce herself to be heterosexual in order to be able to access lesbian spaces nowadays.
I wish the woke would use plain language when they talk about this, so everyone understands what's really going on here.
