Following their brush with 'film-maker' Bergdorf, the BFI seem to have learned nothing and forgotten nothing.

It seems a season of films depicting "Bitches" may perhaps be a teeny bit Misogy:

A discussion on R4 Today this morning.

I'm sympathetic to the BFI for the season's title. It is "Playing the Bitch," a stronly tropic role model in the history of screen drama.

Less sympathetic for their selection of a load of very familiar titles everyone has seen and knows well. Not having any female directors (although several female screenwriters) also an own goal.
